Green Sort: Waste Sorting Simulation
A first-person 3D simulation game built with Unity to educate users on waste sorting (Organic, Inorganic, B3).
Green Sort is a desktop-based Virtual Reality (VR) simulation aimed at educating users on proper waste disposal. Acting as a recycling plant officer, players face a conveyor belt bringing various types of trash. The objective is to grab and sort the waste into the correct bins: Organic, Inorganic, or Hazardous (B3). This project emphasizes interactive learning through gamification.
My contribution
Engineering decisions
Building the 3D environment from scratch using ProBuilder without relying on pre-made scenes, and implementing realistic physics for the grab-and-throw mechanics on moving objects.
Utilized Unity's Physics engine and C# scripting to create a custom 'Object Grabbable' system. The environment was modeled manually using ProBuilder to fit the industrial recycling theme.
